A Fence with a View

Site specific Installation, Bat Yam, 2010

2010 International Landscape Urbanism Biennale, Bat Yam, Israel

The Bat-Yam promenade extends parallel to the shoreline and is elevated from it, at a height that allows the spectator to gaze at the beach and the horizon. For many years and more often than not, the opaque fence of a construction site interrupts this field of vision. In the far future this lot will become a hotel. A Fence with a View offers a temporary enjoyable use for city residents to experience this area, as an alternative to the fences surrounding the place and blocking the view. In collaboration with Sharon Danzig.
